In Loving Memory of the Blyudaya Family and Olga Greinert

The communities of South Florida and the Gulf Coast are mourning an unimaginable loss following a devastating cross-state shooting spree on February 10 that claimed six lives. The victims—Larisa Blyudaya; her 18-year-old son, Ben Azizov; her mother, Florita Stolyar; her stepfather, Anatoly Ioffe; her brother, Stan Blyudoy; and the family’s housekeeper, Olga Greinert—were taken in a senseless act of violence, leaving grief and shock in its wake. Authorities confirmed that the suspected gunman, 51-year-old Russell Kot, later took his own life.

The tragedy began at Larisa Blyudaya’s home in Fort Lauderdale. Investigators report that Kot, who previously had a relationship with Larisa, shot and killed Larisa and her teenage son, Ben, inside the residence. Both victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds. What started as this horrific act escalated into a deadly rampage spanning more than 200 miles, leaving the family and community reeling in shock and grief.

Larisa Blyudaya was a devoted mother, a caring daughter, and a sister whose life touched those around her. Her warmth, compassion, and commitment to her family were central to her identity, and her sudden death leaves a void that cannot be filled. Ben Azizov, at only 18, was a young man with dreams, ambitions, and the promise of a bright future. His loss is particularly devastating to a community now mourning a life cut tragically short.

Florita Stolyar and Anatoly Ioffe were pillars of the family, whose love and guidance shaped the lives of those around them. Their nurturing presence, wisdom, and devotion will be remembered as central threads in the fabric of this family. Stan Blyudoy, as a brother and family member, was a source of support and connection, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew him.

Olga Greinert, the family’s housekeeper, was more than an employee—she was part of their extended family. Her dedication, care, and presence in the home made her an important and beloved figure. Her loss is felt deeply by the family and the wider community who recognized her kindness and commitment.

This tragedy leaves an entire community in mourning, as friends, neighbors, and loved ones grapple with the scale of the loss and the horror of the events that unfolded. While the circumstances of their passing are unimaginable, the focus now rests on honoring the lives they lived—the love, laughter, and connections that defined their days.

In remembering Larisa, Ben, Florita, Anatoly, Stan, and Olga, the communities they touched hold close the memories of joy, compassion, and warmth they shared. Though their lives were taken too soon, the impact they had on the hearts of family, friends, and neighbors will endure forever.

Rest in peace, Larisa, Ben, Florita, Anatoly, Stan, and Olga.

You were deeply loved, and your memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
