Paris was riding his 2005 Suzuki motorcycle southbound on Barataria Boulevard when a 2010 Hyundai Elantra traveling north attempted to make a U-turn and failed to yield. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the vehicle, and the force of the impact threw Paris from his bike.
Despite emergency response efforts, Paris Harris tragically did not survive.
