Deputies responding to the scene encountered a devastating sight — a 2025 white Nissan Sentra that had crashed into a tree on the south side of the property. Nearby, they discovered an injured woman lying close to the vehicle.
Medics arrived swiftly, rendering aid and transporting the injured for emergency treatment. As investigators pieced together what had occurred, they learned the Nissan had been traveling southbound on Walnut Creek Pike when it veered off the west side of the roadway near 2661 Walnut Creek Pike. The vehicle traveled through two residential yards before reaching the driveway at 2611 Walnut Creek Pike, where it struck a parked 2022 white Chevrolet Equinox. The force of the collision caused the Chevrolet to spin — and in that catastrophic moment, Laura was pinned between the two vehicles.
