In Loving Memory of Glen Morrison

In Loving Memory of

Glen Morrison

Port St. Lucie — With profound sorrow, we remember and honor the life of Glen Morrison, 69, whose life was tragically taken on February 18 in his home in Port St. Lucie. What should have been an ordinary morning became an unimaginable tragedy, leaving family, friends, and the community grappling with heartbreak and disbelief.

According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, officers were called to a residence on the 5900 block of Northwest Ketona Circle, off West Torino Parkway, east of Interstate 95, around 7:47 a.m. Authorities reported that Glen Morrison was fatally shot in the garage of his home. Investigators later apprehended his son, Sheldon Morrison, 41, in Hollywood, Florida, hours after the incident. Officials stated that the shooting appeared to stem from a disagreement.

While the circumstances surrounding this tragedy remain under investigation, today we focus not on the violence that ended Glen’s life, but on the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind. Glen Morrison was 69 years old — a man who had spent decades building a life defined by family, commitment, and shared memories. He was a husband, a father, and a presence in the lives of those who loved him.

Those who knew Glen remember him for his character — the steady wisdom that often comes with age, the stories gathered over a lifetime, and the quiet strength he carried. At 69, he had experienced the seasons of life: raising a family, nurturing relationships, and building a home that was meant to be a place of safety and love. His sudden and tragic passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those closest to him.

In moments like this, communities pause in collective grief. The shock of losing a loved one to violence carries a weight that is difficult to put into words. Yet even amid sorrow, Glen’s life stands as more than the tragedy that took him. His memory lives on in the lessons he shared, the laughter that once filled his home, and the bonds of love that remain unbroken by death.

As his family navigates this painful chapter, they do so surrounded by the support and compassion of a community that mourns alongside them. May they find comfort in cherished memories and strength in one another.

Glen Morrison’s life mattered.

His story mattered.

And he will be remembered — not for the violence of his final moments — but for the years of love, life, and presence he gave so freely.

May he rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and forever loved.
