In Loving Memory of Dorothy Louise Brewer
Iowa Park, Texas — With hearts full of gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we remember and honor Dorothy Louise Brewer, 81, who passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her devoted husband, Willie Brewer, and her children, David Brewer, Donna Baker, and Jennifer Reid.
Born on September 25, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, Dorothy’s life was a testament to faith, family, and unwavering devotion. From her earliest years to her final days, she carried herself with grace, compassion, and a nurturing spirit that made everyone around her feel valued and loved.
Dorothy was more than a wife and mother — she was the heart of her family. Her home was a place of warmth, where laughter filled the rooms and traditions were lovingly upheld. Family gatherings were among her greatest joys, bringing children and grandchildren together around meals, stories, and shared memories. She had a remarkable gift for making every person feel welcome and cherished.
Her faith played a central role in her life. Dorothy was deeply involved in church activities, drawing strength and purpose from her relationship with God and her church family. Whether through service, fellowship, or quiet acts of kindness, she lived out her faith daily, embodying humility and generosity. Her presence at worship and community events reflected a life grounded in love and devotion.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, from 6–8 p.m. at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 19, at 10:00 a.m. at The First Presbyterian Church in Bowie, Texas, officiated by Steve Sullwold and Caleb Myers. Interment will follow at Montague Cemetery.
Dorothy’s grandsons — Conner Brewer, Cody Myers, Grayson Seay, Zane Seay, Kyle Baker, Devon Reid, Bryce Reid, Braylen Brewer, and Jackson Reid — will serve as pallbearers, a touching tribute to the grandmother who poured so much love into their lives. Each of them carries forward a piece of her legacy — her strength, her kindness, and her unwavering faith.
Those who knew Dorothy remember her as a woman of remarkable warmth and generosity. She offered comfort in times of sorrow, encouragement in times of uncertainty, and celebration in times of joy.
