According to reports shared by Andrew Wilson, the single-vehicle collision occurred near the intersection of Breazeale Road and Ashley Lane. Leeland was a restrained passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other occupants were treated by Pickens County EMS and transported to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
